Youth Coach in Training (CIT) Program
Do you have a passion for sharing aerial with others? Does the idea of working as a youth aerial coach make you smile? Well, we have a program for you! The Dragonfly Aerial Company offers a modified version of our teacher training program for our high-level youth L3 and above, 14 and over. Our fundamental Level 1 teacher training program normally costs $899 and requires 30 hours of hands-on training and lectures as well as 20 hours of assisting existing classes to qualify for certification. However, this program is available to students in exchange for participating and completing our 9 month CIT assisting program.
CIT’s commit to assisting two classes a week for our 9-month program (Can also option for one class a week for 18 months) and to attend all the teacher training modules. Stand by for the next session dates.
CIT’s are not guaranteed certification, it must be earned. A positive attitude, dedication, teamwork and great work ethic are also required. However, upon successful completion, CIT’s, 16 and over, will be eligible for paid hire at the Dragonfly Aerial Company, as a certified aerial youth coach and/or compensated assist. Keep in mind, Dragonfly has launched 13 programs nationwide and are currently in discussions for additional locations in Naples, Florida, Austin, Texas and Malmo, Sweden. In addition we continue to cultivate our relationships with cruise ship production companies and performance companies around the world.
Not 16 in 9 months? No problem, there will be an intermediate level CIT program as well and class trade compensation also available. Being a Dragonfly CIT will present many opportunities to progress your aerial coaching passions! You will be eligible for hire at the level of which you are certified on your 16th birthday.
All CIT’s also attend CPR and Safety/First Aid training. Our CIT community is awesome!
