Meet the Director
Mistia was an active member of the American Youth Circus Organization, American Circus Educators and the American Circus Alliance. She is one of only four ACE Insurance committee members actively contributing to changing the guidelines for safety and policy in studios nationwide. Mistia is also an AYCO and ACE Directors group member actively participating in discussion groups broadening awareness on everything from health and safety policies to sharing resources for social circus programs for at risk youth. Youth outreach is an area of passion and focus for Mistia. Since 2017, Dragonfly has been recognized by the USAG as a leader in the industry for our safety-focused aerial program which has launched in 13 gyms nationwide providing guidance from rigging to detailed curriculum. After over two decades in the industry, performing professionally, across 45 countries, as a headliner on Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian and Holland America Cruise lines, Mistia truly enjoys focusing on helping others to take flight through the power of the “Growth Mindset“, cultivating exceptional aerial coaches and spending time with her amazing family.

Dragonfly Level 2 Teacher Training 2026
Our L2 Teacher Training Program runs through June and July and will be approx. 15 hours of lecture and skill breakdown over the span of 9 weeks. Using many of the progression techniques introduced in level one, the content of this level is meant to teach coaches how to lead students into more complicated foot lock skills, gain the ability to execute fundamental skills in the air, and be introduced to the fundamental drops patterns of falling forward, backward, and rolling horizontally. The educational portion of this teacher training covers topics to expand the instructor’s knowledge of the human body to better observe student’s execution and cue engagement from a place of deeper understanding. These topics include wrap fundamentals, abdominals engagement, overhead shoulder mechanics, hip mobility etc. Practical classes run 2:30-3:50 every Wednesday. 4 of the weeks, students will begin at 2pm for an extended class to accomodate the lecture portions of the class. Cost is $450 for the 9 weeks program.

Designed for int. to adv. students with the desire for a deeper dive and focused training time.
You do NOT have to be a current Dragonfly student to attend.
Dynamic hoop rolls and drops, brainy and engaging silks sequences, straps conditioning and foundational technique, plus fun and collaborative partner work.
