Many of you know what a turbulent 19 months we had with building out this amazing nest.  For those of you who don’t, Covid hit right as we were breaking ground and we were delayed 7 months (on top of the original 12) due to supply chain issues, we postponed and then moved our 50-person cast Jungle Book show to the Ent Center for the Arts (which was serendipitous!) and then the studio was displaced into two seperate locations without air conditioning for about 3 months during a hot Summer. (…and those are just the highlights!) Somehow, it all worked out along the way.  As we look around our special place, we thank God we are here now and that it was all well worth it!

 

Designer and Sculptor, Maya Lin, said, “To fly, we have to have resistance”.  Resistance is definitely easier to weather as a flock and we are flying extra high now with our 28’ ceilings in our custom-built aerial home!  Thank YOU for being a part of our Dragonfly story, 25 years in the making.

 

SO, this Saturday, we want to say THANK YOU! Bring a friend or family member and come “hang out’ with us at Dragonfly for some apparatus demo’s, Free New Flyer Trial sessions, some cake, visit the Kona Ice Truck, enter a raffle for some awesome fabric rigs, bid on a silent auction for some amazing services and even partake in an aerial photoshoot with the Lovely Studio (No experience necessary)!

Trials are limited to 12 students so SIGN UP at the Reception Desk! New First Time Flyer friends will be given priority for trials but current flyers are welcome to sign up as well to try something new!

 

Mini Aerial Photo Sessions!

Karen Montalvo of the Lovely Studio, will have a Sign Up sheet at the Reception Desk for 10 mininute mini aerial sessions, newbies welcome! Sign up at the reception desk for a specific time slot.  Mini sessions are $40 and you will receive one digital image with your session.  You may also purchase additional images for just $25!
 

Silent Auction!

We have some amazing talent at Dragonfly. From incredibly talented Fine Art photographers to Hair stylists to Doctors, you will find amazing people in our community. Some of these amazing people have donated fabulous services to our Silent Auction in efforts to help Dragonfly improve!  All proceeds from the silent auction will go towards our fund for studio and equipment, such as: replacing some cracked glass near the truss, two new mats, 3 new sets of trapeze ropes as well as an additional trapeze, and hopefully some window coverings so we can darken the space for showtime and cool off our Saturday morning, Little Monkeys from the direct, albeit, beautiful sunshine.

 

Some of the amazing items available for your bidding are:

 

1) A signed and numbered limited edition print with a certificate of authenticity from Marisa S. 2) We will have two certificates available from Integrative Energy Medicine Practitioner Douniazed Wong, BA, MSIS, BHSP. valued at $115 each.

3) Tonya Lea Hayden Hair Design, Classic haircut and style (or $65 value towards any other service). With 20 years in the industry, you are in good hands with Tonya!

4) Items by Faith Scheffler Fashion designs. We can’t wait to see what she brings!  Faith specializes in dresses, skirts, tops and hair accessories!

5) DNA genetic testing and a genetic consultation to review results for health, sport performance, etc. by Dr. Dyanna Haley-Rezac, PT, DPT, OCS, NCS, FAAOMPT of Genetic Vitology. The value on this package is $1,000!  Check out her site HERE!

6) The Lovely Studio Underwater, Underwater Fine Art Underwater Portrait Session with design, Valued between $1,000 and $5,000. Let Karen transport you into an ethereal world, see what she’s done with some of our coaches! Karen will take you on a journey from underwater shoot and then create a magical world to place your image into.  There are very few photographers trained in this art and there is no one like Karen! Don’t pass up this amazing opportunity!

Rig Raffle!

Fabric Depot, Our fabric provider for the past 10 years, has donated some lovely fabrics for us to raffle off for Slings and Two Tails! These rigs are valued between $110 and $200 each! Raffle tickets are $10 and we have many rigs to raffle in beautiful colors: nude, wine, blue, sunflower and more!
